Postpartum Classes

Baby & Beyond

Our postpartum classes are designed to support your recovery and help you regain strength after childbirth. We gently rebuild core and pelvic floor strength, release shoulder and neck tension, and promote relaxation. These classes also foster bonding with your baby, boost mood and energy levels, and connect you with a supportive community of new parents.

For vaginal births, we recommend waiting until postpartum bleeding has stopped (typically 4-6 weeks). For cesarean births, please wait at least 6-8 weeks. Always consult your care provider before returning to exercise.

To maintain an intimate and supportive environment, pre-registration is required, and we’re unable to accommodate drop-ins. For the best experience, we respectfully ask that only postpartum parents attend these classes.

For easy registration, you can download the Punchpass app to your phone. Find those instructions here.

Class Descriptions:

  • These classes are designed for the postpartum student and baby.  In these classes, students can expect to increase energy levels, strengthen + tone the muscles in the pelvis and core, and work towards relaxation and stress relief.  Within this practice, students will be led through poses and sequences that can help to alleviate the discomforts that can come from nursing, holding, and lifting while connecting with other new parents in a safe and nurturing space.  Babies of pre-crawling age are welcome.

For vaginal births, you must wait until the bleeding has stopped (usually around 4-6 weeks).  For cesarean births, you must wait at least 6-8 weeks.  Always consult with your care provider before returning.

  • Our Restore Your Core class is a focused, all-level practice to help postpartum students rebuild core strength and stability. This class emphasizes breathwork, deep core engagement, and functional movement to support recovery, improve posture, and reconnect with your body. With an emphasis on pelvic floor health and gentle yet effective exercises, this class is perfect for anyone looking to regain strength and confidence in their movement postpartum.

  • Intuitive yoga is a personalized and fluid approach to yoga that emphasizes listening to one's body and following its cues. Unlike structured or pre-planned sequences, intuitive yoga encourages practitioners to move naturally and nourishingly for their unique needs in the present moment. These classes are baby free.

  • Motherhood is beautiful, transformative, and, at times, overwhelming—but you don’t have to navigate it alone. On the first Tuesday of every month, Austin Yoga Lounge welcomes moms to gather in a warm and supportive space designed for connection, conversation, and community.

Whether you're looking for a place to share your journey, ask questions, or simply enjoy the company of other moms who understand, the Mothers Lounge is here for you. There’s no agenda—just a relaxed, judgment-free environment where you can be yourself, sip tea, and take a breath. Babies are always welcome!

  • Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep,” offers a deeply restorative practice designed to help new parents recharge, even when full nights of rest feel out of reach.

In this guided meditation, you'll be led through a series of breathwork, body awareness, and visualization techniques to promote deep relaxation and nervous system reset. This practice is done lying down in a comfortable position—no movement required—making it perfect for exhausted parents in need of rest.
