Prenatal Rest & Restore

Our Rest and Restore class is a specialized restorative yoga class for pregnant students. Like traditional restorative yoga, it focuses on relaxation, stress reduction, and gentle stretching, but it also incorporates modifications and considerations to support the unique needs and changes experienced during pregnancy.

During prenatal restorative yoga sessions, props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks provide support and comfort for the pregnant body. Poses are carefully selected to avoid pressure on the abdomen and emphasize creating space for the growing belly. Additionally, poses that help alleviate common discomforts of pregnancy, such as back pain and swelling, are often incorporated.

Austin Yoga Lounge is proud to have Registered Prenatal Yoga Teachers serving central Austin. Some of our teachers are also Birth Doulas. If you’re interested in hiring a birth doula for your birth and getting unlimited access to weekly classes, check out our birth support package for more info.
