Are you not sure which class is right for you? Check out our different prenatal and postnatal options below.

Prenatal Class Descriptions:

  • Our prenatal flow class is an all-level class designed for students to connect with their bodies intuitively. These classes consist of poses that will help students gain strength and flexibility, practice focusing the mind and breath in preparation for labor, and relieve common pregnancy pains.

  • Our Rest and Restore class is a specialized restorative yoga class for pregnancy students. Like traditional restorative yoga, it focuses on relaxation, stress reduction, and gentle stretching, but it also incorporates modifications and considerations to support the unique needs and changes experienced during pregnancy.

During prenatal restorative yoga sessions, props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks provide support and comfort for the pregnant body. Poses are carefully selected to avoid pressure on the abdomen and emphasize creating space for the growing belly. Additionally, poses that help alleviate common discomforts of pregnancy, such as back pain and swelling, are often incorporated.

  • A 60-minute, full-body strength training class for mothers-to-be. The movement style is rooted in functional exercise, Pilates, and barre methods, emphasizing mobility, safe core control, and mindfulness. You will learn how to move with confidence throughout your perinatal journey as you gain techniques to prevent and/or repair diastasis recti and pelvic floor dysfunction while conditioning the entire body.

  • Empower your pregnancy journey with our Prenatal Power Flow Yoga class, designed for expectant mothers seeking a dynamic and invigorating practice. This class combines the strength-building aspects of Power Yoga with the mindful modifications needed during pregnancy.

Flow through sequences that focus on enhancing endurance, flexibility, and stability, all while nurturing the unique needs of your changing body. Emphasis is placed on safe alignment, breath awareness, and connecting with your baby, fostering a deep sense of inner strength and calm.

Whether you're an experienced yogi or new to the mat, this class is suitable for all levels, offering modifications to meet you where you are in your pregnancy. Join us to build confidence, release tension, and embrace the powerful journey of motherhood.

Postnatal Class Descriptions:

  • This gentle and inclusive class is perfect for parents with babies of pre-crawling age. Strengthen your bond with your little one while enjoying the benefits of yoga in a supportive and welcoming environment.

    What to Expect:

    • Bonding Time: Strengthen the emotional connection with your baby through gentle poses and mindful breathing techniques that incorporate your baby into the practice.

    • Gentle Movement: Engage in gentle yoga poses that focus on stretching, strengthening, and relaxation, accommodating the needs of your postnatal body.

    • Baby-Friendly Atmosphere: Enjoy a relaxed and supportive setting where feeding, changing, and comforting your baby is always welcome.

    • Community: Connect with other new parents, share experiences, and build a supportive community as you navigate the joys and challenges of early parenthood.

    • Mindfulness and Relaxation: Practice mindfulness techniques to help reduce stress, improve relaxation, and promote overall well-being for you and your baby.

Who Can Attend: This class is ideal for parents with babies of pre-crawling age, typically newborn to 6 months old. No prior yoga experience is necessary, and all fitness levels are welcome.

    Benefits:

    • Strengthen the parent-baby bond

    • Enhance postnatal recovery

    • Improve flexibility and strength

    • Reduce stress and promote relaxation

    • Build a supportive community of new parents

Babies of pre-crawling age are welcome.

For vaginal births, you must wait until the bleeding has stopped (usually around 4 weeks).  For cesarean births you must wait at least 6 weeks.  Always consult with your care provider before returning to yoga.

  • This 60-minute class is for mothers looking to gain better function and rebuild strength following birth, and your baby is welcome to join you! It focuses on rehabilitating your core and pelvic floor, and the movement style is rooted in functional exercise, Pilates, and barre methods, emphasizing mobility, safe core control, and mindfulness. You will learn how to move with confidence as you adapt to the movement patterns of motherhood. And you'll gain techniques to repair diastasis recti and pelvic floor dysfunction, if these are conditions you're experiencing.

It is recommended that students wait 6 weeks if recovering from a vaginal delivery and 8 weeks if recovering from a C-section. Please consult with your doctor or midwife before participating in class. Feel free to bring your non-crawling babies with you!

  • Intuitive yoga is a personalized and fluid approach to yoga that emphasizes listening to one's body and following its cues. Unlike structured or pre-planned sequences, intuitive yoga encourages practitioners to move naturally and nourishingly for their unique needs in the present moment. These classes are open to all students.
